- A little about me -

I currently work as a graphic artist for the New York Times Regional Media Group Creative Services Center. Yes, I’m serious, the name is that long. Not only that, but I could probably add “at the Tuscaloosa News in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.” Here’s the fun part - the actual paper I work for is located in Santa Rosa, CA. I’m pretty sure they love me there - I do everything from tiny newspaper ads to full-page magazine ads to two-page grocery ads, and since people often request me by name, I’d say that’s a good sign, right?

I graduated from Valparaiso University in 2001 with a BA in Graphic Design, minoring in Philosophy.

I enjoy computer games, manga and anime, the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism), and sci-fi. I devour books, and prefer movies to TV - psychological thrillers tend to be my favorites but I love a good piece of fluff once in a while. I’ve been brushing up on my Asimov lately; my previous book streak was Neil Gaiman. Yes, I read in author streaks.

My musical tastes range from sludge metal to classical to electronica and a lot in between. There’s not much I don’t listen to; I tend toward the heavier side of music though.
